We installed this Fox ESS 5kW inverter and EP11 10.36kWh battery, with 6.75kWp solar array in Sleaford this week.
Since the system went live, our client has been importing approximately 1.5kWh from the grid. The rest of their house demand has been met either directly from the solar during the day, or from the battery to see them through the night.
In real terms, based on electricity costing £0.25/kWh, the client is reducing their electricity spend to approximately £0.37 a day, plus their daily standing charge. This is accompanied by an average export to the grid of 15kW per day, which equates to £2.25 reimbursement at an export rate of £0.15/kWh (Octopus current export rate).
This is a great example of what a standard hybrid system can offer in monetary terms during an average couple of days in spring.
The Fox ESS system is one we love to work with as a budget friendly option that offers everything you need. It’s space saving and sleek, not taking up too much room in your garage space, and has a user friendly app to monitor production. We really rate it for bang for your buck factor, and if you’re interested in solar, it’s a great system to consider.
If you’d like any further information on this system or others, get in touch. Matt is passionate about empowering customers with the knowledge and means to take back control of rising energy costs, so give him a call if you’d like to chat about what this could look like for you.
We were recently asked by a client to fit some lovely feature lighting for bookcases. This was added to a beautiful home library at a period property in Lincolnshire.
Lighting and power installed to a new garden office at a business in Washingborough, along with 3kW of solar and an 8kW battery.
The solar and battery helps offset increasing business energy costs and overall sustainability 🌳 👌 Good news around! 👍
Adding solar to smaller outbuildings is a great way to become more energy efficient, especially if you don’t have a roof suitable for solar or want to add more to an existing system.
⚡️ Relocation of a distribution board to a more convenient place ⚡️
Our client wanted to move their board from a cupboard, where it was taking up space, to a more accessible position below the cabinets.
We used a relocation box to extend the cables and move the board, whilst bringing everything up to new regulations. This job by Brett looks 👌 🔥
We were recently asked to go around to a regular client of Imp Electrical to carry out some work. They’re a long standing client of ours. We’ve previously fitted garage lighting, outside sockets, and spots in the bathroom. The customer had a few things that they wanted us to do for them. As well as fitting a new extractor fan in the bathroom, the client asked us to carry out the following:
Fit an external camera to the rear of their property (supplied by the customer).
Install a Dyson charging mount in the pantry and;
Fit new security lighting to the front and side of the property.
