Imp Electrical Wins Business Growth Award at Lincolnshire Marketing Awards 2026

We’re delighted to share that Imp Electrical has been named the winner of the Business Growth Award at the Lincolnshire Marketing Awards 2026.

The awards took place on Thursday 10 September at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Lincoln, bringing together businesses and individuals from across the county to celebrate growth, achievement and the work being done by Lincolnshire businesses.

It turned out to be quite a night for the Imp Electrical team.

As well as winning the Business Growth Award, we were Highly Commended in the Scale-Up Business of the Year category and shortlisted for the Customer Growth Award.

For a family-run Lincolnshire business, that recognition means a great deal to us.

A growing Lincolnshire business

Imp Electrical started as a local electrical business and, while electrical work remains an important part of what we do, the company has grown considerably as demand for renewable energy has increased.

Today, much of our work involves solar PV, battery storage and electric vehicle charging, helping homeowners and businesses make better use of energy and reduce their reliance on the grid.

That growth has also meant growing the team, investing in the business and continually developing our knowledge of the renewable technologies we install.

But one thing we have been determined not to lose as we have grown is the way we look after our customers.

We are still a local, family-run business. We still want customers to know who they are dealing with, be able to pick up the phone to us and know that we will be there after an installation has been completed.

Growth is important, but not at the expense of doing things properly.

Recognition for the whole Imp Electrical team

Winning the Business Growth Award is recognition of what the whole team has achieved.

From Matt and Brett working with customers and overseeing installations, to Emily and Sophie keeping everything moving behind the scenes, Poppy supporting the family business, and Alex and Zach out carrying out work for our customers, Imp Electrical is very much a team effort.

The award also belongs, in part, to the customers who have chosen to work with us.

A large amount of our growth has come from people recommending Imp Electrical to friends, family and colleagues, coming back to us for additional work and trusting us with their homes and businesses.

We don't take that trust for granted.

What's next for Imp Electrical?

We certainly aren't finished growing.

Renewable energy technology is developing quickly, particularly around solar generation, battery storage, smarter energy management and EV charging. We want Imp Electrical to remain at the forefront of that locally.

That means continuing to invest in our people and knowledge, carefully selecting the products we are prepared to recommend and making sure the quality of our installations and customer service keeps pace with the growth of the business.

Winning the Business Growth Award is a fantastic milestone for everyone at Imp Electrical.

Now it's back to work.
